What is a restricted or occupational license?

Posted on February 25th, 2010 No Comments

When Texas drivers are convicted of driving while intoxicated, their licenses are often suspended. This suspension can be a huge hardship for people who rely on driving to get to work and fulfill other obligations.

For this reason, a court may authorize some individuals to have an occupational or restricted license. This license allows them to operate non-commercial automobiles for occupational or educational purposes.
