The 51-year-old man was sentenced after pleading guilty to vehicular manslaughter. The charges come from a car accident that occurred in December 2009 that killed a 65-year-old woman and seriously injured her 66-year-old husband.

The man was driving a tractor-trailer when he ran a red light coming off of the ramp of Interstate 75 and struck a Ford that the couple was in. The sentence for this crime can be a sentencing of up to 15 years.
