A 35-year-old man has been jailed after ahead-on collision that took the life of two people. He has been charged with two counts of intoxication manslaughter.
A trooper said that the man was heading eastbound on Business Interstate 20 around 11 p.m. when he suddenly turned northbound. A Ford truck with a male and female riding inside were doing a U-turn at the same time and the vehicles collided.
The two people riding in the Ford were transported to the hospital where they were later pronounced dead. Intoxication manslaughter carries a possible sentence of two to 20 years and a fine of up to $10,000.
