Houston man charged with DUI claims officers used excessive force

Posted on September 3rd, 2010 No Comments

Dennis Perry of Houston was pulled over for suspicion of driving under the influence earlier this summer.  Perry was pulled over by a state trooper on 1960 near Hardy Toll Road after running a stop sign.

After  five minutes of sobriety tests, Perry confused to continue.  That’s when he claims police officers harassed him for supposedly resisting and body slammed him onto the ground.  Videos of the incident show Perry asking for medical help before blacking out.

Perry is currently taking tests to find out if he will see any long-term effects from the head injuries he sustained after officers threw him to the ground.  He stated, “I honestly do not believe I did anything to deserve anything like that … I don’t think anybody does”.
